New York: Changes to Medicaid are coming

Stay connected to understand how they may affect you and keep your New York Medicaid coverage.

Don’t lose your health coverage. Follow these steps:

Make sure your state’s Medicaid agency has your current contact information. They will tell you if you have to do something new to keep your coverage.

Check your mail for an important status letter from the state. It will include your next steps and any forms you need to fill out.

Complete and return any forms you receive right away (if you get one).

Don’t delay. Be sure your contact information is current.

If enrolled through county Medicaid office: health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/ldss.htm.
If enrolled through NY State of Health: nystateofhealth.ny.gov

If you lose or are denied Medicaid, you can apply for affordable coverage at Healthcare.gov or at New York State of Health. You must apply within 60 days of losing coverage.
